A direct padawan of Pri yon Joni, Ya Boy Dru Soy captain's the entertainment company of the iParty Crew leading Des Moines' nightlife in a rich array unforgettable events and heart pumping music.

He began as the co-founder of iParty and ambitiously studied the arts behind the decks, combining underground breakbeat, electro house, and trance while moving dancefloors with he flavors of hip hop and R&B. His journey as a young DJ first became popularized at Beneath in downtown which is the lower level of Kamodo Klub. His sound expanded and began to touch dancefloors from Bar 2060, Saki 21, and 101 Lounge.

Over the years, the Ya Boy Dru Soy and the iParty Crew has developed as both an artistic stage act as well as a growing business. Dru Soy's influence and leadership within the group has molded the success of the group as a consistently touring DJ's and go go's, as well as a media web presence from their YouTube Channel, iParty Television.

Music brings people together, and one way Dru Soy brings different people together is by having a keen understand of being able to play both for the Hip Hop crowds and the EDM crowds. While his residencies locally in Des Moines cater to the urban music scene; his appearances in Minneapolis, Tampa, Omaha, and Sioux Falls have been because of his secret passion for dance music. But the most signature characteristic of his shows, is not in his DJing, but in his voice. In 2011, he discovered his microphone MC voice which many describe as Lil Jon. In the 2011 515 Alive, on the main stage, Ya Boy Dru Soy premiered that voice in front of Des Moines during an epic one hour power set with Pri yon Joni in front of Iowa's biggest electronic music festival, on the biggest and most extravagant stage ever built for 515 Alive.
