(Darek Knefel) dj X-ray was born in Bytom in Poland 02.04.1981. He spent most of his life in his family town –Radzionków (province-Śląsk). Altrough none of his relatives was an artist, his new hobby became all his life. He has been interested in everything connected with music since he was a child. When Darek was twelve he visited his cousin from Grudziądz – Maciej Wierzchowski (Vanderson)who has been keen on music for many years (nowadays he is a famous Polish artist of electric music). This was a fruitful and crucial meeting. Young Darek decided to be a Dj. He put an effort and saved money for computer to create his first mixes. He developed his skills, but this was not enough for him. He played for schoolmates, at private parties, at balls before mature examinations but it was too difficult to come into being on clubscene in Poland. In June 2004 Darek moved to London. There he made many friends, who helped him to make his dreams come true. He’s especially grateful to Artur Ostrowski (Arthur Keen), FunkyPaul, JustinTime, Kris and Mariusz Płaczkowski- his current manager. After plenty rehearsals on tacky gramophones he achieved what he wanted – he had played at his first time for The POISON at the beginning of 2005. Since this event he has become a resident of the POISON.But it was the beginning of the hard work…His fans didn’t have to wait for results too much. He specializes mainly in HardTrance and Hardhouse. Fans quickly fell in love with his music.
He has an opportunity to play with artists such us Angelo Mike, Miss Jarea, Speedy Action, (Frantic’s Hard Dance Academy Cally Gage, Andy Whitby, Technikal, Phil Reynolds, K-complex, Kevin Energy, Carl Nicholson and many other artists.
His own productions aren’t recorded yet but he’s a few mixes and CD’s with sets, one of them is POISON RESIDENTS 01 and U4RIA.
