X-Amt is the moniker I use for my production work, whether it is producing others, or creating my own sounds.
Until July 2010 I was producing and playing keyboards for Salisbury band 'Nicky's House' (we released an album in the summer of 2010). Before that I played keyboard or guitar for many bands including 'Head To Head', 'X-Amount', 'Best Foot Forward' and 'Goat!'. I played guitar and keyboards for a while in a Salisbury-based band called "Corridors", also doing production and mix on their debut EP.
In 2011 I re-kindled London-based X-Amount with Andi Panayi. As X-Amount, we have released several recent laptop jams/productions called "You Need Glasses" (April 2011) an EP "Gits Encroaching" (June 2011), and a single "Flight/Doghouse" (June 2011) all on our "uneaten" label.
"Degraded" was released in September 2011 and is available on BandCamp (see link above).
A new album called "Six Months Of Community Service" was released in July 2012 and collects together all releases from the first six months of 2012 plus 4 new tracks and a host of extras if you download from BandCamp.
X-Amount played live gigs on digital radio in January and June 2012 (more gigs to follow) and hope to perform live A/V shows with live musicians soon. For more up to date information see the X-Amount blog.
In the past I have also played a great deal as a DJ (known as Head To Head & Simon Funk), and have produced many bands in the studio since the late 1980s. I have done front-of-house live mixing for many bands at some of the best venues in the UK and across Europe.
I am also a keen visual artist - see my website for more info.
Thanks for looking & listening..
