Woodstock69 – a place unlike any other. Part happening beach/nightclub, part live stage for aspiring and established artists, mixed with the comforts of your living room and a laid-back atmosphere. Either dance your heart out on the floor, have a lovely meal from the refined kitchen, or just take a breather outside around the huge bonfire lit every night, be it rain or shine. One minute you’re enjoying yourself in the sun, the next a huge party erupts and you won’t know what hit you. Whether you’re young or old, boredom is not on the menu at Woodstock69. Started in 1992, Woodstock69 has quickly grown from being an intimate hang-out to a large beach pavilion that can accommodate over thirty-five hundred people. All the while keeping its identity as a place where everybody can just be themselves. No masks, no phoniness. Sound wise, Woodstock69 holds her own. The installation alone makes most big time DJ’s puff out their cheeks in amazement, and in the sandbox outside is a large stage, hooked up to the speakers inside and out. The stage is used for live DJ sets, live bands and artists big and small, and on a quiet day, local talent or even cabaret! The weekends are mostly reserved for big hosted parties, with DJ’s playing live sets for the crowd. Underground house, disco and techno music is our first choice, because it’s simply better than most commercial crap out there. Of course the place can also be rented out for personal celebrations. Weekdays are more laidback, with mostly non-house music being played. Often you can spot the owner behind the turntables, taking all present on a musical trip around the world. Over the years Woodstock69 has been visited by many well known DJ’s and artists, becoming a concept in the hectic beach club community of Holland. Indeed, it’s not at all uncommon to meet world travelers who journey to the Netherlands just to get a taste of the one of a kind Woodstock experience.
