Matej Držík - Wirrareka
started to listen to electronic music back in 1996, when he fell in love with the electronic body music, Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly etc, Then it all went through the legendary stuff of that era, Orb, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Orbital until he was in year 2000 completely struck by the growing psychedelic scene in his home city Piešťany, which was at that time a small Goa in Slovakia.

Wirrareka joined the Cosmic Dance community which was a big psychedelic family based in Piešťany city. Together they were organizing a lot of parties and festivals, mainly Pacha Mama Ritual, which was the largest free psychedelic trancefestival organized in Slovakia for 8 years of it's existence.

Back in 2002, Wirrareka started to play PsyTrance tunes in Slovakia, almost immediately got recognition between the people and soon after played on all major festivals in Slovakia, being one of the headliners on lot of them.

Loving the computers from his childhood, he started soon to experiment with the software that was available back in 2003 and really fast found his way with Logic Audio. In following months, Wirrareka tracks started to shape their form. With lot's of collaborations with friends, mostly Chors and Rahatmahatix, they had hell of a ride with pioneering the trance music creations..

Never really interested in the commercial ways, thus loving the underground, family and the trance spirit was always the main influence of Matej.
What he considers the most beautiful part of psychedelic life are the people, the friends, galactic family, which was always the biggest influence.
Wirrareka was for years studying ToltecTzolkin and Crowley's Thelema On this way he found the dreaming school, where he started to learn lucid dreaming and symbolic language. Transformation of Magick into the Musick is what he's nowtrying to achieve with his sound.

When DJing, Wirrareka is now playing together with his wife Terezka Galactic Sun, back to back, they can bring passion in any time of the dancefloor.
