Marcos Tawil (born July 20 1984), known by his stage name “Wilmar Costa”, is an electronic dance music producer and DJ. He produces in the electronic genre, but has branched out, drawing influences dubstep, progressive, music for TV commercials and experimental.
Marcos was born in México City. He is a graduated drummer/musician/producer, and began playing the drums at the age of 13. Marcos’s interest in producing electronic music was piqued after learning how to use the Live Ableton Software and he began producing it in 2012.
Marcos has made a variety of remixes, originals, Music for TV commercials like reebok, a dance festival, a short film and a variety of styles. He creates his music using Ableton Live and lately has been using the B4, Massive and recording and designing his own sounds and vocal FX.
He’s been working to create a unique style and preparing a Live Set where he can express a wide variety of beats, rhythms and styles in order for people to dance and have a great time.
Marcos is not engaged in only one genre or specific music. Dubstep was his first approach to electro, followed by shuffle, house and progressive influences.
He’s most recent material “UP” is influenced by Deep House, Progressive, Funky and Nu Disco and is now being tested in clubs and parties, where he is playing as a DJ, having a great response from the audience.
