Introduced to sound system culture and pirate radio while living in the UK in 2008, an obsession with early Dubstep and Grime pushed William J to get involved in underground music. After quietly building his skills and tastes for years, William J's ever evolving hybrid sound blends together a diverse range of styles, including UK Bass and Funky, old school House and Garage, Jersey/Baltimore Club, Footwork, Hip-Hop/Beats, and everything in between. His forward thinking selection, versatility, and strong knowledge of dance music history brings a fresh perspective to the growing underground scene. After establishing his signature sound with key sets at venues such as Blu Jaz, Fash (The Butter Factory), and Home Club since 2011, William J is now the newest member of music label and collective Darker Than Wax.
