Will Hutchins, one half of the Australian DJ/Production duo "Starkers & Hutch" is well known for his love of music. Having learnt to DJ playing sets off Vinyl to more recently playing sets off cd, serato or USB, WIll is no stranger to mixing music.
Will has performed in Brisbane venues such as Monastery, RG's, Bank Bar, Fridays, The Victory Hotel and more recently The Met Superclub.
Will's Preferred genres range from Deep House, Future/Bass House, House, Tribal, Tech House, Techno and breaks. But Mostly Will enjoys any music that he "feels".
Will enjoys music that is produced intricately and in a manner of setting a mood for the listener, with emotional sounds. Sometimes the more delicate straighter tracks are the most interesting! Will enjoys underground music rather than commercial music because there is no particular "look" or fashion involved with it unlike commercial music, and more importantly underground music has a much more personal feel about it.
Will Hutchins says "Theres nothing quite more exciting than sharing with a crowd of people or even just one person who's is also passionate about music your current favourite tracks and experimenting with a crowd to see just where you can take them on the journey that is your dj set. Music is all about emotions and always has been and whether it involves playing a dj set in front of a crowd, or releasing a podcast or writing music it is always important to try to develop a mood, focus on the bare elements of the music and create a path or a groove to which the music progresses from one point to another. Some of my favourite artists like Carl Cox, John Digweed, Adam Beyer, Format B, Claude Vonstroke, D. Ramirez and Jay Lumen really come to mind with inspiring sets that really incorporate those key points."
All in all Will Hutchins is "all about the house music" and stays true to his beliefs about the music business, and continues to delve into the underground scene not really bothering whether or not he is recognised, but instead focusses on enjoying and sharing his music with like minded people in and out of the music scene and experimenting with different sounds in the studio.
