Need a gift for a gifted musician?
This jersey born, Paterson emcee has overcame his own dealings to become who he is. His family and friends, as well experiences molded his love for the art called hip hop. Both his parents both sang in their church choirs, especially his father.
Next at 5 his mother, father, and his aunt Dodee caught him on video singing an old classic by Betty Wright, (No Pain NO Gain). his parents just made his love for music stronger giving him his first keyboard and later his first radio; because he couldn’t stay away from theirs. as far as music at the time he was only aware of soul, r&b, and a minor dose of pop. then around the time pac and big passed his friend Jose introduced him to hip hop. He turned to hot 97, they were playing hard knock life. so goes without saying, that was the first rap song he ever heard.
In his teen years while vacationing in Virginia, Newport News to be exact. He was in his grandmother's attic and discovered a bass guitar, it belonged to his grandfather. Guess what he did? You right if you assumed him begging for it. Ironically he tried it a few times, then left it alone.
He was introduced to writing music by his friend Jerzee, who was roc-a-fella heavy. they recorded a mix tape in a hallway on a standard microphone. You know the ones that are used for just chatting, right across the street from Paterson Catholic High School. Then Jamie a good friend brought Luciani to Jus Dj, whom at the time was a prominent dj. who work with Joe Budden, ransom, and Hitchcock before they blew up. In fact he was the only dj other than clue to spin focus before it went mainstream. Luciani had a session with jus, he was spiting off top, i.e. free styling. jus ask him to double the verse, but Luciani couldn’t do it. Jus told him come back when he was ready, Luciani took too long to get back to him. thus they never worked together again.
Then one day in lunch in school he stepped up to rep his school in a battle, only to get trashed. luciani pulled a canibus and lost to a rapper named Sharkie. Sharkie is related to rapper Franco Osiago.
Then, Sharkie and Luciani and they hung out for a few. hell, he even sold a little weed for Sharkie. Sharkie helped Luciani become a more punchline oriented emcee. While in Passaic Luciani spit a line, and Sharkie said and Luciani can quote me on this, "I created a monster!". Then Lucani and three other emcees started a label called Stricly Biznis Ent. They formed a group called the Stick-up kidz, the group consist of L.V., Real, Joe Nathan, and of course Luciani. They had one show, at Don Basco Tech as an opening act. Where they performed their single party smash,(Whoa).
After a while Luciani left the group. This in turn brought animosity amongst Nathan and Luciani. Eventually leading a diss record from Joe Nathan. He covered 50 cent's, (Animal), After Luciani was asked to join a corporation Called Uptown, they shook it up and squashed their issue. That lead to session at Jersey Blaze Studios Located on River St. in Paterson Nj. Then another at Illnoize Production, where he was featured on A.R.E.Z.'s mix tape title N/A. He, Verbal Prophet, and Joe Nathan gave Ar verses on a track
Luciani then later continued to work with Joe Nathan, by being introduced to WesBeats ceo of WesbeatsMusik. The two worked on multiple songs. Sometime later Joe Nathan decided to leave Wes, leaving Luciani to his own devices. Wes and Luciani then started a project. Little after Wes went recruiting other, leading to a group called 2G What. They had a powerful movement, as well an outlet to a cable in the Bronx N.Y. called, (Street Funk Tv).
Wes found a show through his longtime friend and business partner Dj Eddie M, doing live entertainment at wrestling event. Luciani opened the event. Not his best performance, but he did well.
Later after Luciani finished his project with Wes they decided to part ways without releasing the project. Joe Nathan with open arms welcomed Luciani back to the family, i.e. Stricly Biznis Ent. Stricly Biznis then founded the Sound Boyz which consisted of Luciani, Joe Nathan, and new found member Hydro Man. Hydro a little rough on the edges but was great at he did. Jamie's brother Boobie watch Luciani's performance and connected him to a promoter named Dolo. Dolo is a ceo at C.N.O. Entertainment. Thus lead to their first performance as group, which was the Zarco Lounge In Passaic.
The group opens numerous shows for Dolo in Paterson, as well as performs Newark. They even performed in front of radio personality Lil Nat Former Hot 97 host. They In released 3 mix tapes, that plus their work ethic got them a nomination for group of year at indie elite the group known as the SoundBoyz performed on Luciani's birthday, before the judge could make a decision they left so could get he could go work that night. that was last show they performed as a group.
Sometime later Luciani's baby mother lost lst their child. They couldn’t find a heartbeat, so she had to get the operation. Luciani felt stricken by his lose. Luciani taking advice from his friend label mate Joe Nathan, put his soul the best way he could on beat. He covered AraabMuzik's, (By your side) which can be found on youtube. Later Luciani was blessed by the grace of god blessed with his son, even more so with two baby girls.
In 2012-2013 had his productive year. He appeared on Vision magazine and Showcase Magazine; Also he has appeared on a few mixtapes under different dj's, such as The 3 Star Generals from Newark. Luciani started to produce his own music. trying different sounds and styles, trying to come into his own. He worked various producers from Dj Sno to Tozu out in finland and Dj Lokee, as well a young producer from South Africa goes of Sim 2000.
Now, Luciani is reaching for his goal, making music and living his life. Trying to maintain his life and his music. Needless to say he has alot on his plate and still making room for more. Aversity surrounds so to speak and people continue to try to make decision for him. so his back's to the wall, yet no other option but to push and fight against odds.
