WeirdGear are an affable trio from Essex (Hornchurch / Billericay / Leigh) who use classic analogue synthesisers, effects pedals and drum machines....

WeirdGear were formed in 1994 by Paul W and Lee. They initially had an ever changing line-up which settled in 1999 with Paul Barlow and Dave Panter (now sadly retired since '09) joining the band.

We perform all the music heard on this page COMPLETELY LIVE - with no backing trax, MIDI or sequencers....
NOTE: - We will be starting to shift away from this ethos with future recordings. Though the parts will all be played completely live and not sequenced. We will be spending more time 'in the box' producing, arranging and editing our material to create a more mature sound.

We currently have an album of treasured memories from 2006-2009 called 'Aurora' for sale on CDBaby, Amazon and iTunes to name a couple of places to buy it...check it out!

Add to this the FREE companion album Aurora 'Bonus'. This is full of studio improvs which were captured on MiniDisc from 2002-2009. 'Bonus' is a FREE donwload available by contacting the band via our many sites.

Then on November 26th 2012; Black7 EP was released by the Barlow Maher Wolfe trio with hot remixes (all on this page) by Phonic Voyeurs, Radio Phone-In, Derek FME and Kostoglotov.

Then on Monday 25th February 2013; Daytona 87 EP is due for release with fantastic remixes by Ben Glass, red collective, Stuart Russell, USRNM, The NKR and NEON.

All WeirdGear releases are through the UK label MMR (Magico Meccannisimo Recordings).
This label is owned and managed by the band and registered as a legal entity in the UK.

The tracks on Soundcloud are a mixture of unique mixes, work in progress, live improvisation or remixes.
