EXPERIMENTAL for musicians who stray from set formats and genres
After much procrastination and a little procreation, Weinlick is back releasing reworked tracks recorded between 1996 and 2010, . This album draws on his many electroacoustic, experimental projects in the mid ‘90’s, such as the Micro Science Fiction and Maelin Star 9.
In the '80's Weinlick's mother was into early ambient electronic music like Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Brian Eno's ambient works. The first CD Weinlick held and listened to obsessively was Jean Michel Jarre's, Equinox.
Weinlick's Stiff album is a fresh mix of his ambient roots with more grit and catchy hooks.
Recorded and produced by Weinlick, mastered by Doug Organ at Edmontone studios May 2010
Guitars, synths, sequencing, drum robots, drums, kids toys, vocals, bass, xylophone, melodyhorndog, recorders, chimes, claps, clicks and a flushing toilet all played by Weinlick. Lillia and Maelen Weinlick appear on tracks 2, 4 and 9 . Many thanks to the Bhutanese wailing girl on track 13 (asian abrasion divided by Yak bell)
Release date: Jan 1, 2010
