WBEZ's Becky Vevea reports from inside a couple of the schools that are considered half empty. Chicago Public Schools wants to close and consolidate half-empty buildings, but teachers, principals and students say the numbers don't exactly tell the whole story.

Photo: Because Drake has a high population of special education students, Principal Keshia Warner converted an empty room into a “sensory room” for students in the special needs program. With the addition of recess this year, it is also used for indoor recess. (WBEZ/Becky Vevea)
