Talking with Anthony McGill was fascinating - he's thoughtful and funny and insightful about the world of music. In this short outtake from our longer interview, I asked him about the caricatures around certain kinds of musicians - i.e., are clarinet players REALLY all that laid back?

McGill will be in town this weekend to perform with the Chicago Sinfonietta, at their 5th annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
