It was Warren Buffet who once said "There's class warfare but it's my class, the rich class, making war and we're winning". I thought this was an interesting point of view, especially coming from him. Obviously, things may be a little bit more complicated than that and hardly can be squeezed into a single definition, on the other hand, that concept raises some thoughts, anyway. I just mention this because it was funny for me to think of this song as some sort of hymn of the rich class: marching and harsh but with some elegance and a string quartet.

Wow, this is brilliant! You are very verstaile and really like the lyrics, vocals and instumentation. Ian Anderson would be proud of this I think.

@Dave McKeown: Well, a sort of, but nothing definite. It's a generic person from the upper class doing its business and believing in free trade.

melodramatic...can see this onstage...and I guess you're playing a part with the lyrics?

@Tom O'Rose: Thank you. I particularly appreciate because my vocal performances are quite volatile, so I'm glad to hear this one worked out, also because this is one of my favorite songs. Regarding lyrics, I'm happy to hear they deliver something, in this case I had to balance between the risk of being too 'specific' and that of being too 'general' and I had to stay somewhere in the middle, with the actual risk of not being able to say anything at all. Thank you again for your comment!

Love the folk feel to this one - such great vocals - and lyrics speak to me. Thanks.

@niklaus-b-1: Yes, I like this genre, even if I do not usually write much with this style. However, I like to play it with my guitar and I might try again to write something like this in the future. Thank you for stopping by!

@balam(FredWhite): Hey, thank you for your comments! I thought this song needed something different so there came the string quartet, the piano and the rest.

Cool work this, most different but vocally almost reminds me of Modest Mouse a little, Great piano flurries into the gtr, good instrumentation.
