Waxploitation was founded in 1996 as a boutique record label and artist management company working with innovative artists and unique projects. The company is best known for developing the careers of the Grammy Award winning group Gnarls Barkley and Grammy Award winning artist/producer Danger Mouse as well as the Grammy nominated band Broken Bells. Other projects have included Dark Night of the Soul with David Lynch and ROME with Danger Mouse, Jack White and Norah Jones. Waxploitation publishes Black Moth Super Rainbow and Tobacco to name just a few. Waxploitation’s Causes album series includes The Black Keys, Diplo, The Decemberists, Devendra Banhart and more.
