I started making music at the age of 14 or 15. Around the same time I started running into trouble in the streets. I'd like to say that the music had given me a positive escape route and kept me away from the horrific experiences that were waiting for me out there, but thats not the case.

At the age of 16 I had my first life or death experience. I was in my neighborhood at 1am with a friend of mine, and two opposing gang members popped up on us. We confronted them with no weapons on us, and they replied with gun shots. I was chased down the bike path with an AK-47 and was hit 6 times. I tumbled down into the La Ballona creek behind the MVG Projects and was left for dead. The shooter was still shooting while I was floating in the water. I played dead while he was shooting, and I didn't even wanna open my eyes. What I heard after was the loudest and longest silence in my life.

I was in the hospital for a month in the ICU and was lucky enough to have survived that incident. Im 100% healthy and capable of any physical activity today.

After that I went on through numerous events like Jail, and getting shot again. I lost my brother in a act of gang violence where I watched him take his final breaths while I was holding him in my arms. I wish this had been the experience that had slowed my roll, but it was a start to the end. It took me a whole year after that to finally try something different. I got Sober on Oct 26th, 2008 and have been sober since. My life has changed.

Fast forward to today, Im now a productive member of society. I continue to pursue my music career because God has kept me alive for good reasons and He gave me a gift. There is a new position for me out there and I work hard behind the scenes, I am committed to Hussle.

I tell the story of my life through beats, melodies, and harmony. The titles of my beats are in harmony with the story of my life in the past, present, and future.
