After two well received remix projects that have firmly re-established Warehouse Wax as a force to be reckoned with in the world of forward thinking Future Jungle and Hardcore Breaks, they now return with some original material which is destined to be mashing up many a dance floor in 2012. In doing so they proudly introduce to you their latest signing, the bright young talent from Doncaster, Kieran M.

Genre-defying Kieran is only 16 and has been dabbling with music production since the tender age of 11. He is a multi-instrumentalist & MC with his fingers in many pies. His solo singer/songwriter projects have seen him propelled into the iTunes charts and he is also a major player in the South Yorkshire based Urban collective known as S.Y Alliance. On top of all that he also knocks out some pretty damn impressive breakbeat numbers with an ear for production the likes of which would surely be associated with producers of twice his age and experience. That is why he caught the ear of Warehouse Wax head honcho, Mr Vinyl Junkie, who swiftly signed him up.

His debut release is a four tracker called “The Flaming Heart” EP, aptly paraphrased from the title of the lead track “Heart is On Fire”. This is an uncompromising vocal anthem, with underlying soulful connotations. Prodigy style pads combine with sweet tinkling piano licks, which open the door perfectly for an earth shattering bassline. When Future Jungle’s bad-man heard this track he wasted no time getting in touch to offer up a full on Sanxion Re-twist… And even though he has featured on the last two Warehouse Wax releases, he asked so nicely, it was difficult to say no to him! His remix is predominantly Dubstep, but of course crosses over into the Jungle realm in a way that only Sanxion knows how, has to be heard to be believed!

“Soundclash” is another one for the Future Jungle crew that will also appeal to the Dubstep fraternity, weighing in at around 140 BPM. Despite the tempo, something about this track is just crying out “Drum & Bass”. It definitely brings something a little darker to the EP with its sinister, minor-key, melodies accompanied by the obligatory air raid sirens and hard, crunchy breaks which lead to a terrifying drop. Lord have mercy!

“Caught Up In A Rewind” ups the tempo slightly and in so doing, delivers some nostalgic jungle overtones with pitch-shifted drums and classic amen chops which have seemingly been updated for the new generation. There is also a bonus track with this EP called “Positive Vibes” which will be given away around the time of release so keep your eyes peeled for that!
