Mariano Chiappe (Aka Walkabeat ; Dajaus) is an Argentinan dj / producer
who produce, mix and remix electronic music styles such as Techno, House, Tribal,
Electro House and Acid House among others, residing in the city of Rosario,
Santa Fe in 1998 with 13-year-old Mariano begins to practice and mixing
thanks to his father with disco and funk records of the 70's and 80's learning
to mix these styles in vinyl decks.
Some of the artists who most influenced him were Boney M, Kraftwerk,
Giorgio Moroder, Alan Parsons Project, Donna Summer and James Brown among others,
And later with artists, bands and DJs, contemporary ones such as Jamiroquai,
Armand Van Helden, Basement Jaxx, Mauro Picotto, Westbam, Dr. Motte, Thomas P.
Heckmann, Marko Nastic, Ben Sims, Umek, Marco Bailey. With 15 years old Mariano begins his career as a DJ playing on all kind of
parties and in clubs until he finally decides to devote only to electronic music, taking participation in private parties, clubs like "El Sotano", "Blue Velvet", etc, and radios like "Deck Fm" and "The Wave FM" among others , Mixing techno, house and hard techno with 4 cd players. In 2003 he began a radio program on a local FM which consisted of 2 hours of continuous mixing and guest DJs. In 2007 starts to mount his studio to produce his own music, combining on his tracks from the minimaliest sound glitch leads to low and most acids, generated from analog synthesizers, softare emulated and hardware synths adding a combination of samples and percussion of the old and the new school.
Currently he continues producing music, under several labels, such as Etiketa Records (Croatia) , Deepna Records (Argentina), System Recordings (EEUU), FootPrint Musik records, UranoBeat Records, among others.
