This is a song by Sufjan Stevens that we recorded for a charity compilation. I think it's Tanya's favorite thing we ever recorded. Every time I've worked in a recording studio I've learned so much. This was a great opportunity to work with synths. I kept sending it to the label and they kept complaining that the one high synth was too piercing and almost painful to the ear. I kept telling them that I'd done that on purpose because the song was a reflection of a painful melody. In hindsight we probably could have toned it down a little, but I still love the recording.

The high synth works perfectly. It makes met melody more painful and the story being told heavier. I wouldn't have changed it either. Love this cover so much.

I just can't get enough of this song! Positively haunting. A little cliché, but keep up the good work; it's stuff like this that keeps me coming back for more!
