From Washington DC
Genre: Minimal, House, Electro and Deep
Wadie Maroudi span his first party at the age of 14 in the early 90z using 2 K7 tape players and a “Walkman” the turntables were just a dream back then and seemed so out of reach. Playing mostly top 40 and dance, Wadie knew how to move the crowd and got very popular in his native small town of Morocco. Slowly but surely Wadie was able to build his equipments arsenal – being a huge believer in records, Wadie transferred to digital players a few years ago and never looked back, he now uses a pair of CDJ 400z but still kept his turntables – after all, those records he preciously collected over the years cannot simply go to waste.
In the early 2000z Wadie’s love for the EDM grew stronger than ever – constantly looking for “la crème de la crème” that one track that makes the crowd flip, Wadie experimented with different genres of EDM: Electro, House, Progressive, Deep, Minimal … you name it – Although Wadie is known by his Filthy series (the name says it all) showcasing the most dirty and filthy electro beats out there, he always had a special place in his ears for minimal, not sure what it is really, perhaps the contrast of the 2 genres.
Wadie’s love for the beats has always been a hobby – He chose to focus on his studious/professional carrier and family instead. A father to a beautiful baby girl, Wadie set up camp in the Washington DC area and looks forward to collaborating and sharing the love of music with you all.
