Per the instructions of this Junto project, the text of the instructions was imported into my audio editor as a raw data file. The processing occurred as such: I reduced the amplification and then corrected the DC offset, which was significant. Then I stretched the file out in 50% increments until the length reached 2 minutes. I didn't count how many iterations of stretching processing this took, it was quite a few, as the original sound file that resulted from the raw data import was something like .02 seconds long. Once the desired length was reached, I ran the file through a compressor and then normalized. That's all.
The title refers to the Wikipedia entry for "raw data" according to which, "Raw data that has undergone processing are sometimes referred to as 'cooked' data."
The image is a sonogram of the original audio file after importing and before processing.
