Many small farmers, especially those in the hills, have found the conditions too exacting and the financial rewards too small to go on growing bananas for export. For the island as a whole, exports averaged 173,000 tons a year in the 1960s. A further 40,000 tons a year were consumed in Jamaica it...Tourisism (an intrepid mollusk) Uploaded by VUELO Start following Send a message on November 03, 2009 19:32

I think I know this guitar riff but can't put a name on it... "Pass the dutchie" maybe ?
-
@zzzzra: neither can i! but there are countless variations of this melody. the first time i heard it, it was played by a horn section on an old studio one rocksteady cut. i use it here as an homage to the masters...
-
@VUELO: Well that's quite an homage then, awesome dub !

You're getting near the sound. You have to vary the delay a bit more a big more to create interest.
-
@Coyote Politics: which sound did you have in mind, friend?
- Coyote Politics on October 08, 2009 21:13
@VUELO: That classic roots sound. I love minimalist forms like dub, but you have be careful sometimes minimalist becomes not enough.

big up, amazing stuff. do you play all mentioned instruments by yourself, record it, put together and dubbing over it ?
-
@VUELO: appreciate that, ist cool to see people not using guitar or bass samples but playing them and just record. in my setup a bass is missing, i can play drums over a roland spd-20 and have a epiphone guitar ;) but i end up step programming drums to, my drums skills are not sufficient every time

this texas dub mystery school combines mercury, iron and lead into dub massive. since the matter and substance of all things are indestructible, all its parts are subject to all forms, so that Each and Everything becomes Everything and Each, if not at one and the same time and in a single minute, then at various times and various moments, in sequence and alternation. all for one! one for all!
its really nice to hear some vox on yr tracks.. The vocoder effect works well..
@Kid Suda: thanks! ede's a big fan of vocal synths & talkboxes in such..
