About
VRT is one of those artists who perfectly understands the entertainer role of a DJ. Without having to make any musical compromises, he is one of those record spinners that will show you a good time, whenever, wherever.
He first started playing Drum and Bass out back in 2004 and just one year earlier he started with some friends the Synthplants crew, where he was established both as a DJ and as a promoter till late 2005.
As a DJ, VRT pushed forward and managed to consolidate his presence on nearly every big Drum&Bass line-up in the country.
His energic and varied style, including all subgenres from Liquid to Jungle, brought him on the same stage with names like LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad, Roni Size & MC Dynamite, Aphrodite, DJ Marky & Stamina MC, DJ Fresh, Grooverider, Camo and Crooked, The Qemists, Muffler, Concord Dawn, Unknown Error, Electrosoul System, General Midi, Baron, SUV or Lenzman.
He also played most of the big festivals in the country: Peninsula Felsziget (Targu Mures), AnonimTM 48H (Timisoara), Delta Music Fest (Sf. Gheorghe), Arigato (Codlea), ArenaDnb Summer Fest (Bucharest), Primul Fir De Nisip (Vama Veche) or One Love Festival (Comana).
The second half of 2010 finds VRT in a completely revised sound area. He's playing Drum&Bass ocassionaly and starts spinning 120-130 bpm four to the floor music. His sets end up being a smooth mixture of warm electronic dance beats, taking you out on a journey through Funk, Disco, House and other closely related styles.
Once he became comfortable in the lower bpm area it was understood he would soon be part of some huge line-ups out there. And in just a couple of months he was playing alongside A-Skillz, Aquasky, Gramophonedzie, Kasper Bjorke, Glass Candy or the living legends: Gus Gus at J&B Start A Party (Cantacuzino Castle - Busteni).
Also, this marks the point where VRT starts producing. Two of his tracks, "Asthenia" and "Mocca Sin - I can't promise" from his disco oriented alias were signed in December 2011 at Digitalma, a sublabel of Alma Soul Music which is hosting artists like : Alexkid, Alex Sosa, Art Of Tones, Gramophonedzie, Ilya Santana, Londonground, Onur Ozman, Ronan Portela, Sarp Yilmaz, Satoshi Fumi, Terry Lee Brown Jr.
