Schofield (aka Ross Veenstra) currently finds himself based north of the river in Melbourne, Victoria, and has been a lover of music since he first discovered that he had holes in the side of his head.
Currently Schofield’s bag of sonic delights contains elements of dub, ambient, downtempo, electro-acoustic, psychedelic chill, wobbly breaks, experimental, electro-folk, modern classical, field recordings, and glitch.
Schofield finds inspiration from life – the serenity of an empty field as the sun rises, the lure and promise of the open road, waves lapping lazily against a sandy beach, back yard bbq’s, urban landscapes – and attempts to weave all this into his sets. In short, Schofield may make you want to sit under a tree and ponder the meaning of life, or take to your feet and be glad you’re alive.
Schofield can be seen and heard playing at the odd venue or party around town, and has been a regular on the bill at Rainbow Serpent Festival since 2006. Recent appearances include the RSF 2010 Launch Party and Entheogenesis Australis 2009 Conference.
