@Katie Glenn: Hehe, thanks. It's one of the goofiest.
I was on acid once, and was listening to this mix, and during this build my psyche went all shattered and chaotic, and i could barely handle anything and was freaking out, and as soon as it dropped and everything went all minimal and simple, my whole psyche shot back down to normal and i was back in the real world, and suddenly could NOT stop grooving to the beat. This music was MADE for surreal experiences.
Can I get a tracklist somehow?
Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang Go Hang
I love this one
Quite the eclectic selection of tracks.
i'm down to keep listening. :3
Basically I'm just saying they could use some brightening, strong compression, and make sure that the delays don't intrude on the primary vocals.
@VolkStroker: I'm just crazy, I heard something that wasn't there. Ping-pong is usually an echo/delay that pans left and right with each repeat. This sounds mono, so it's a regular delay.
Sounds nice to me. Although slightly typical of the genre.
The master sure is DEEP, so good job there.
Your track selection has a very 90s vibe to it.
Bum, ba dum, bum bum ba-dum-dum.
I expect a spy to jump out from behind a fern or something.
I like the space, but otherwise it seems to be lacking depth. Definitely going in the right direction, could just be a matter of mastering.
Is your sub bass following your saw wave?
Decent concept. The vox could a little less ping-pong and more compression.
I'm wondering if you made the backtrack, because the backtrack sounds solid, but the vocals sounds a little bit dull. so much lower mids
As far as criticism, I would say that the kick isn't loud enough. I like the organic nature of the synths, but the kick seems to get lost in the mix. A good kick presence and sidechain would probably send this track to the moon!
Nice, swelly master. What are you using as a master chain?
It's an ok track selection, but it's hard to take anything seriously these days that has 'harlem shake' in it.
LETS WAKE THE WORLD, TONIGHT
All of your tracks have me groovin. I don't know what else I could say that I haven't already on the other tracks you've posted.
That's a fat master, right there. Good work.
I'll p*nis all over your vag*na.
You've been warned.
also, smooth track. I still wanna know what mastering chain you use.
This goes hard. Vox remind me of Technotronic, are they sampled or recorded live?
Could definitely use some mastering... but I do dig the sitar, and the vinyl noise.
Beefy master, yo. Where's the vox come from? You record them from scratch?
Jebus, how many of these do you have?
This is bouncier. "happy house" is right. :3
Sounds MASSIVE. How much of this track is original?
It's a solid beat, but doesn't do much for itself without vocals. Is there a version with some heady vox on it?
Chill track. I used those same samples. "And now we have constructed... a SQUARE." Makes me giggle every time.
Another quality chill track. This one seems a little muddier on my speakers than the others i've listened to lately, mostly around the 120-200hz range. But I could still listen to this stuff forever.
Sounds a bit like liquid DnB rather than chillstep for the first 2/3. My only crit is that it could use a punchier/louder kick drum. Otherwise is sounds pretty floaty.
Now I haven't heard the original, but this still sounds pretty sweet. Well balanced mix, I'm curious to know how much of it is original on your end.
Another track that's loud as hell. What's your mastering chain look like?
Is this mastered yet? If not, good job, super energetic. If it's mastered already, I'd suggest a little more brightness (8-11khz range) and maybe a little compression.
What it would sound like to be raped by a fighter jet. Lovingly.
Aww, that's my shizz right there. I'm a sucker for rising synths.
I like the chaotic nature of it for sure, but it's kinda muddy. Could use some separation and more careful EQ. Unless it's just the mastering, just sounds really low-end centric.
Nice punchy master, what did you use as your mastering chain?
The subtle panning is fun. Overall sounds pretty solid, real lo-fi sound, but in a good way.
