Last month, 62 members of the House and Senate signed a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services, urging them to continue their process of revamping blood donation policies. Specifically, they are looking for a way to end the 27 year old ban on all MSM donors--that is men who have sex with men, who cannot donate regardless of their risk for disease. Rep. Mike Quigley (IL-05), co-author of the letter with Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), spoke with Morning AMp host Molly Adams and intern Remy Schwartz about the years long process of change.
