Virtual Unknown is from Southern California, where he has been DJing for several years. Music Influences include Techno, House, Early Breaks,Tech-Hop ,Acid, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Soul,Rock...and of course Break Dancing.Breakin was my first experience with music, breaking to the early Cybotron Cuts "Clear" Hashim" Its Time"(Al-Naafiysh)Planet Rock , Fo Fam Battaand the Renegades of Funk and of course Kraftwerk. I purchased some of my first records from EXODUS Records in Rosemead California... I can still remember the guy behind the counter saying "take this its the new shit coming out" , happened to be a Kevin Saunderson(InnerCity) track. My biggest influences in the early days was undoubtedly Mr Jaun Atkins. I was playing his early Metroplex/Cybotron Jams in backyards,warehouses, halls and beach parties throughout Southern Cali to crowds of Hip Hoppers, Rockers and New Wavers of the time before Techno had an official name.....(God Damn Im getting old!). My Early DJ INFLUENCES WERE Tony Gonzales, Dj Joe Cooley, Ralph M,KDAY Mixmasters...and Greg Mack ..........Much Respect goes to the 80s LA DJS who Pioneered the early Tech Scene . Uncle Jamms Army, Egyptian Lover, Dj Unknown, Cli-n-Tel, and the World Class Wrecking Crew.
