About
For me, digital production is philosophically the epitome of musical composition. It allows a single person to create, arrange and compose any element of any genre of music. Having played guitar since the age of 13, my initial interest in music was purely melodic. A long-awaited introduction to hip hop and dnb in my late teens, however, sparked a passion for the beat. Electronica opened my eyes to frequencies of sounds that are normally ignored or over-shadowed in conventional styles of music, and this led to my pursuance of djing and digital production. I guess my style can be defined as a high-speed collision of organic and synthetic sounds. A hard, funky beat with some sampled soul and big basslines are pretty much the defining elements of my sound. Genres are becoming obsolete and that's pretty much the driving factor for my musical influences. If the phrase "I want to sound like..." is in your repertoire, then you're doing something wrong.
