About
villero is a producer/dj/composer/sound designer with a classical music background from Argentina/Canada. Before finishing his formal musical education, he started studying popular styles like argentinian cumbia and cuarteto. He worked 3 years in the "movida tropical" and later published several articles about the cumbia argentina, including in the prestigious Argentine Association of Musicology magazine. However, his main interest has always been composing/producing/performing. As a performer, his main instrument is saxophone, and he's been playing with orchestras as soloist, chamber music ensembles and mixed styles in popular bands (tango, jazz, andean, rock, and many more) Also, since 2005, he's been working with or for video games in freeware projects and in companies like EA. The reason: one of villero passions since his childhood are video games, and the proof is that he's a pro Tetris player certificated by EA.
His productions/compositions contain elements from those "worlds": classical orchestra, argentinian cumbia, cuarteto, reggaeton, 8bits, jazz, saxophone in general, improvisation, avant-garde. Sometimes,
many of them are in one 3 minutes work ;)
