Vibration Lab is a production/dj duo, based in London & Bristol who create: Future Reggae Dub. With years of experience, Vibration Lab are veterans within their sound, whose main purpose is to spread a positive message or “vibe” to the listeners. Call it ‘Rub-A-Dubstep’ or ‘Roots from Outer Space’, the future and the past collide which delivers a sound that merges the warmth of analogue with the innovations of digital. Integrating ‘vintage’ samples and tasteful Dubstep elements they have invented a new level of sonic beauty, classic, yet ground-breaking. With four EPs under their belt including 3 on their own Vibration Lab label and the Forward Operation EP, available on MindStep Music, Vibration Lab is showing no sign of slowing down.
Vibration Lab have been playing festivals around Europe including Holland(Ruigoord Future Reggae), Romania(Subsonic) and Croatia (Outlook) and also the biggest Bass music nights in the U.K including: Tokyo Dub, Sub Dub and Reggae Roast. Alongside the likes of: Mungos Hifi, RSD, Radikal Guru, YT, Iration Steppas, Conscious Sounds, Dubkasm, Solo Banton, Kenny Knots, Disciples, Alpha Steppa, Soom T, OBF, Panda Dub, Reggae Roast and many more!
Other important moments for Vibration Lab have been going into the studio with and releasing a 2x12" vinyl double pack of an original vocal from one of their all-time heroes: “Reggae Legend”: Linval Thompson with remixes by some of the best producers in Dub music today including: RSD(Rob Smith)(Smith & Mighty), Radikal Guru, Adam Prescott and Riddim Tuffa. The next original song with Linval Thompson and Vibration Lab will be out soon, with remixes by UK Dub Heroes: Alpha & Omega. Alpha Steppa, J-Star, RSD, Adam Prescott and Riddim Tuffa.
Keeping with Vibration Lab's quest to bring the old and the new together, they have forthcoming remixes of other important Reggae vocalist like Prince Alla ( Powa Cuts), Lutan Fyah for Alpha Steppa (Steppas Records) and Maikal X (on Mindstep) also a new track from the amazing: Rod Taylor (out now on Reggae Roast).
Vibration Lab has also forged a good relationship with Rinse FM’s DJ Crises. Having released an EP on his label Mindstep Music. DJ Crises plays Vibration Lab music on everyone on of his shows on Rinse FM, every Tuesday from 11am-2pm.
Vibration Lab are now part of the Reggae Roast collective, which is the biggest Reggae/Dub/Bass oriented night in the U.K. With on-going events in Brixton and Stoke Newington in London, Leeds and Bristol.
Reggae Roast will be releasing a Vibration Lab ep this year on vinyl & digital. Vibration Lab has already toured Romania in 2013 and has been booked in Berlin, Holland and Slovenia, not to mention The Glastonbury Festival, The One Love Festival and Notting Hill Carnival, 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for Vibration Lab
