Moritz Rossa was born in Berlin with significant early exposure to music as both his parents loved and played a variety of music ranging from classical music to contemporary jazz. At the age of three his parents moved to Hannover where Moritz took his first piano lessons. When he was seven his family moved to West Africa where Moritz spent three years in a missionary boarding school. It was here where he began to take violin lessons. When back in German high school he formed his first heavy metal band in which he played the guitar.
In the early 90s Moritz developed a strong interest in experimenting with electronic music. Together with his brother he founded a project called Vortecs. They released their first EP called "The swaying ocean of life" in 1996, following a number of live acts with various artists of the German techno scene. A significant breakthrough for them was an appearance of Vortecs in the BFBS-show "DC's Drum and Bass" with a live set broadcasting their music for over one hour.
In 1999 “con brio”, an acoustic guitar duo assigned Moritz with the audio engineering of their debut album “Domino”. As from 2000 he put emphasis on both, composing and producing. Amongst other projects he has done tracks for software firms, such as "Podcast Producer", engineered several CDs for English teaching material for kindergarten projects and continues to produce royalty free music for a number of libraries covering different genres.
Currently as Venusian Moritz is busy with remixes for various artists and competitions and, without caring much about styles, produces music just for his own pleasure and enjoyment, often at the very edge of the mixable...
