Venesa Talor is me. I am exploring here on Soundcloud. Since I have had difficulties lately uploading demos of mine to my site "Venesa.net", I have been residing here for the moment musically. People know me from the alien movie I did called "Femalien" in the 90's. Being a pin-up girl for Playboy newsstand specials & the cover of College Girls in '96. I am really a musician at heart & that is where my ebb flows naturally. I write music & like to chop & splice all of my life affairs...(Venesa.net).....
In 1999 I produced and starred in my own rock musical called "A Naked Girl". It was a million dollar production including award winning "Michael Rooney" (Mickey rooney's son), as my choreographer. Also, 4 songs of mine were remastered by well known "Scott Spock" who discovered Avril Lavrine & hit it big with her song "Complicated". He had been working with me before he had his hit with her. Then he blew me off. "In The Court Of Mistress V" is the Album that has Spock's mixes on them. "Millenium" was one of his productions. Amongst a few others. And in the year 2000, I received the award for "Cabaret Performer of the Year at The Los Angeles Music Awards.(I'm all over the map here jumping from dates to dates...basically whatever comes to mind)
After the "Naked Girl"Million dollar baby didn't go where we wanted it to go, I performed live with my band in many LA venues, & then came to Vegas in 2001 one summer to feature in a show called "Pure Honey, A Sweet Taste Of Las Vegas". It was going to be a hit & I had danced my ass off all summer to get this show ready, but then the producer, (Jerry Schafer's wife got cancer overnight and died within the year,) & another person died in Branson Missouri while I was searching for venues for this show. So, the show never made it to the main stage. This was supposed to be the show that my Manager at the time would re-coup his investment on, as it had none of my creative control whatsoever. (I guess after the Powerful "Naked Girl" show,), anything after that powerful musical production would be hexed.
These days I am yearning to learn better movie editing skills so I can be unstoppable. Still, I need a real good mixer to re-mix some of my tunes. I really dig JEDEYE!!
I just write and write, and that's what I do. In 2000, Dj Ezra & DJ Daniel Chavez did remix's to one of my songs called "Joie De Vivre".
My song called "Good Credit" & "One More Cheap Ass Thrill" is in the horror film called "Deader Country" which has been a 2010 release.
I also appeared in some of Zalmon Kings movie's. One which was called "ChromiumBlue.com",where my "Who Do I Have To Blow" song remix was a part of his show in that episode as my crazy southern character danced around to the remix with the others characters.
In 2006 I Headlined on the Las Vegas strip and sang 2 of my originals in a show called "Headlights & Tailpipes"(The show that gets your motor running). A record deal falling through, moving out of my Malibu nest that I lived in for many years on the beach and several surgeries after that led to an addiction to pain pills. And out of that experience came the album "Everything's A Pill". (which you can find 8 remixed songs on the net and download them for .99 cents.)...
I am single. & I make Jewelry for fun....(Geturocksoff@gmail.com) and plan on trying out having a litter of Seal Point Himalayan Cats.(Talorstails.com) These are things that I do in the now. But I always write music, & am working presently with Dr. Karen cassell on her movie soundtrack music.
Still, I long for better mixes on my music....it can only get better. If you are someone that is "interested" and has the ability to take my music to the next level, please contact me. You can find me on the internet on facebook "Venesa Talor", for videos, google "Venesasprivates",and for music, "Venesa.net" & here.
May your creative forces be one to be reckoned with. We are all one! Peace! :-) Lo-Venesa
