With a chance meeting on a sunny beach in Barbados, a ride on a banana boat and a lengthy bar crawl, Jack Niell and Hugo Millington-Drake discovered a mutual love of house music and DJing. With the sun setting and Coronas flowing, promises were made and once back in England, the two paired up and took to the studio. What developed from this collaboration was a production/djing duo known as 'Valesko'. The pair worked hard to find their sound, eventually attracting the interest of Universal Records who signed one of their remixes and is scheduled to be officially released at the start of 2013. This effort did not go unnoticed, with Valesko gaining residencies with London based promotion teams Motion-1 and Kinkyfunk. They have subsequently played at some of London's biggest clubs and events, such as the Size Matters and Toolroom Knights parties at Ministry of Sound, Aura, Proud, Pacha, Egg, Barcode, The White House and Thames Boat Parties. They also gained the attention of promoters abroad where they were invited to play in New York. With plenty more productions lined up and a string of bookings leading them into 2013 the future looks bright for this budding London based house duo.
