Brendon Geary aka B_TYPE has had a passion for music from an early age. From the age of 14 having worked for Pharcyde, the SA Rave pioneers, and seeing artists such as Carl Cox, Derrick May and Danny Rampling it set the platform for what was to become a life long desire to play and produce electronic dance music. Having been an active DJ for the past 19 years playing a host of diverse sounds, through the house and deep house revolution in Cape Town in the late 90’s to now pushing a fresh Techno sound, he has been through it all. Under both aliases Brendon has been playing around the country at top festivals , clubs and groovebars including SynergyLive (CT) and LitchieFest (DUR) delivering successful performances each time. Additional highlights include popular radio mixes and interviews on 5FM, MuthaFM and 2 Oceans Vibe. Brendon has supported top International acts such as: Emerson Todd, Edu Embernon, Tomy DeClerque, Sebastien Leger, Mark Knight, PHNTM and Christian Cambas to name a few…

Bren is the founder of the successful “Hello Techno” brand which has been around for the past few years. Each event is designed differently to capitalize on the host venue’s unique characteristics. Music is Techno based making use of a main DJ/Live act usually playing an extended set with support from an opening DJ. Additional lighting and 3D graphics accompany the acts providing a truly interactive dance experience. Events have been held at a variety of Cape Town’s top venue’s including Chevelle, Butterfly Studio’s, Bang Bang, Fiction and recently its long term home at Trinity. Most notably HT hosted its own tent at the Synergy Music Festival 2010, which had over 7000 people in attendance, providing a state of the art 3D Video Mapping show and Tech/Rock Live act!
