About

Thy Melodramatic Mind is an experimental band from Finland. It was officially formed in 2007 by Sara and Yari, but actually this couple has made music together since 2002. Sara Cratz is a talented singer-songwriter. She has sang, made up songs and stories since she was a little girl, but started to make her own songs seriously at the age of fifteen and at the same time, started to learn how to play the acoustic guitar (because the piano was just too much of an effort and the guitar was more cooler anyway and suited better for her music! Although, she now wishes she could play the piano... ). She was a singer in so called rock bands until she turned twenty and then decided to stay as a solo artist. Yari Vo is a gifted songwriter and a musician; a multi-instrumentalist, who plays the acoustic- and the electric guitar, piano, keyboards, bass, drums, harmonica and... well, you just name it! ( Yari can take a guitar pitch pipe tuner and use it in the song, if it sounds good.) Yari has played in several friend based music projects, but he has also composed music for example one theatrical play and two short movies called Waiting (2004) and Neon/Blue (2006). In Thy Melodramatic Mind Sara Cratz and Yari Vo have combined their musical creativity hoping to achieve something different and unique. Influenced by the northern scene of Finland and the polar nights of the winter, TMM has a light melancholy sound, which is still full of hope and energy.
