[Sounds of Shanghai] Recorded on March 13, 2009. When I visited Chang Feng Park (长风公园), many sounds could be heard. Visiting school kids to the amusement park, bird calls, and this strange music coming from within the artificial 'mountains' in the park. I followed the music and found a small gazebo with a group of elderly chinese musicians. Men and women, some taking turns singing, some playing their instruments. Everyone was having a great time and were all good friends with not a care in the world. I asked if I could record them and I stayed for about an hour. Here was one of their songs ...This was recorded with a Sony PCM-D50.
