"Art doesn't help people. People help people"

μ-metik [mi-me-tik] is an electronic music project based in
Hamburg. Trained as a guitar player, he eventually discovered
synthetizers and dataflow programming, which felt quickly as natural tools.
Though spanning various genres, from oniric soundscapes to more dance
oriented music, his work has a remarked unifying feature: the glitch.
Moving piano melodies are interrupted by noises and quirky sounds, lush pads meet abrasive beats: perfection is never achieved, the idiosyncratic condition of the human being reclaims its part on the
stage of Beauty. His tracks are like little wrenches in the cogs of the omnipresent machine, inviting to reflect upon and challenge what is perceived as ordinary and beautiful, also via the carefully chosen titles.
"No theory, no ready-made system, no book that has ever been written
will save the world": experimenting and researching as a lifestyle, to create ambient, beats and soundscapes in the midst of Capitalism.
