UGS Podcast 012 - Shall Ocin (Ellum / Leftroom / Culprit)

The UGS Podcast 012 has been hosted to celebrate Leftroom Recordings latest release 'Tribute To Summertime' by the promising and rising talent Shall Ocin. The DJ and producer from Argentina has already featured on Left'd and murmur with his strongest release so far being released today on Leftroom Records.

Named as Radio 1's Essential New Tune' by Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler, 'Shall Ocin's Tribute to Summertime' EP on Leftroom is hotly tipped to be one of THE tunes of the Autumn.

Nicolas Abalos' aka Shall Ocin makes his second appearance on Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom imprint after his first offering 'Moving on Powerdigger' showcased his natural talent and his ear for musicality. Nicolas is tipped for a bright future and Tribute to Summertime blends a classic element and piano house sound with a harmonised vocal line that is sure to well received on any dance floor.

Tribute to Summertime is not the only track on this EP, on the B side 'Feel The Same' applies a more driving nature with a hooky electronic bass, chopped vocals and a smooth and moody intensity that entices you for it's six and a half minutes.

The third and final track on this incredible EP 'I Know' brings through Shall Ocin's musical influences. Elegant flute sounds, sensual guitar chords and a love for jazz give this track a sense of warmth.

Following on from Waifs and Strays - Love On Another EP, this is yet another outstanding release from Leftroom and further proof of why this is one of our favourite labels at UGS. A little clap for you Matt Tolfrey for finding yet another young producer with unlimited talent.
