This panel is to look at the current live music industry, looking specifically at the rules, regulations, challenges and opportunities in setting up your own events, tours and festivals. It will look at how the current economic situation has affected the live industry and explore regional issues around live music. The panel will also look at strategies for artists to get shows, build a buzz around live shows and how artists can make links with industry. We hope that an outcome of this discussion is to initiate the production of a regional guide to the best promoters and festivals to expand the opportunities to independent artists and promoters.
