Love that pulsing sub. This is killer.
@Unimog Herr der Bauern: Yea I know how that is. I use a lot of samples for pads and stuff. I even sample some of my own pads just so I can manipulate the audio cause there's just something about the sound you get from manipulated audio files that I can never seem to reproduce in a synth.
The strings and pad work in this is masterful.
Really the only thing I think it needs is just a more cohesive arrangement. Even a short track like this works. Just feels a bit weird the way it drops off. But I'm guessing this is a work in progress.
I like these vocal and formant hits here. Nice addition.
Maybe keep a part of the drums here. Just to have something else in it. Then drop them out just before the second part drops in.
I like these hits here. They have that sort of hip-hop feel but cliche hip-hop.
I feel like the bass could be a bit bigger for some hits. Like a secondary mid range element to it. Just used sparsely on a few different hits just for that bit variation.
Killer beat as always. I love your drums on these trap tracks.
I really love this punchy sound here. Is it like a bongo or is it a synth? It has that percussion element to it.
I agree with moguri. It would be nice to get a little more impact on the kick drum. It would go a long way in adding some energy I think.
I like the glitchy melody.
You always bring something interesting to the table.
I'm not even gonna put any criticism on this. I really enjoyed it. I really don't think there's anything out of place or that you could really add to it. I loved it.
I'd say you got a pretty flushed out idea. It's just a matter of giving a little more. Too short as is.
The only thing I want out of this is some more of those vocals.
This is awesome. Definitely got me nodding my head man.
Love that effect on the drop.
Love these Percussions and Sub Bass
This mix is magic.
I really don't know what to suggest with this. It's a strange track. Obviously there could be more, but it's just one of those weird ones to build. Really I think it would be fine as a short track Like this, but for that you have to get to the main focus of the track rather quickly.
Makes me think of the songs they use for the Bumps on Adult Swim.
I would actually cut this down a little bit and use part of it in the intro. And then jump right into the main part of the track.
I really don't have much to say. I like what you've got here. I think there's definitely room to flush the track out conceptually but even if you don't it's still good.
Really like the bassline. Simple yet very catchy.
The only thing I'm not a really big fan of in this track is the kick. It feels a little airy on the top end. When I hear these sort of electro style tracks I always expect sort of a punchier kick.
This is awesome man. I really don't have anything negative to say about it. The whole track moves very well. This needs to be somewhere where more people will hear it.
Little change in the beat here? I really like this section. Get that ambient sounding pad pulsing in the back. really adds a good atmosphere.
Love the effects and wobbling basses. Very well placed and they sound great with the track.
Love this sort of slightly off time beat. Usually these types of beats leave an odd feeling but you did a good job filling in the spaces with the sub bass.
Really like this intro. Sort of expected some delay near the end of the intro. Not sure why. Just something that popped into my head.
@Mōguri: All that bass is is a sub bass made with 3xOSC with a slight LFO with a slow attack. Probably the simplest bass you could ever make, but I find it works quite well.
@cc74: Did you just use "maudlin" in a sentence? I don't think I've ever heard anyone use that word before.
@Mōguri: They aren't really vocals. They are just street recordings. They play through the entire track I just have the volume automating throughout to keep it from being too loud. It's really just there for ambiance.
The second half of the track is better I think. Not sure why. Maybe it's the consistent change in the rhythm of the bass and the extra FX. It just does a better job of keeping your interest.
Is that the snare from St Anger? I'm not really a fan of that really snappy metallic snare, but with a sound like this it's hard to really suggest anything else. You could possibly try grabbing a snare from a live drum pack and then using an EQ to boost the highs to get that snap while also having that heaviness of a real snare drum.
I this needs to be a little louder to prepare for what comes after.
@cc74: Agreed. As a listener you almost expect the change to be there.
I like the beat. But the absence of any real low end makes it feel a little out of place.
