Tupy is a publishing and recording company grounded in 2008. Our mission is to spread Brazilian contemporary music, to offer excellence in digital mixing and mastering, as well as in publishing services.

Tupy is the son of necessity and of learning.The necessity felt by Brazilian producers to be listened throughout the world. The learning from our ancestors experience of incorporation of the other, of the foreigner without annihilating ourselves. The word “tupy” means a nation, the whole of tribes that lived in Brazil before the Portuguese colonization. It is also the family of languages spoken by the people who belong to the forest. Tupy turned to national dilemma on the mouth of a modernist poet from São Paulo in the 20´s. He resumed Brasil´s problem into one question: tupy or not tupy? We look for a sonic identity in the spontaneous, in the original, which shall be immediately understood by children.
