tru:tek is a new dubstep outfit formed by producers / djs Rutile, Panza and Senate. Focusing on a deep, melodic approach to their sound, the founding members musical backgrounds stretch as far as Dub, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Metal, House and Garage. This diverse range of influences has helped Tru:Tek to develop a truly original sound, blending both the traditions of Dub and Reggae, the tearing electronic sounds of Techno and the heavy sample processing of IDM. Never wanting to be pigeonholed, Tru:Tek’s output spans a wide variety of styles within Dubstep- Tracks including ‘Lion Heart’, ‘Anansi’ and ‘Truth Vibrations’ carry a deep, dub influenced sound, whilst ‘Origins of Conciousness’ and the ‘One on One’ remix have the dark, techy undertones of 97’-99’ Drum and Bass.
