    Title: Daisy
    Artist: Lazy Dynamite
Written & Composed by: James Justin

This was a very early composition. Likely around 15 or 16 years old. A decision to rewrite the chorus was made some time later when demoing the track in Thailand but the melody in the verse & pre-chorus felt melodic and memorable thus remained intact. The simplicity of the lyrics complimented the melodic progression of the song.

'Daisy' was influenced by a particular style of 70's soft a.m. radio hits of that era. A sound that was common but a handful of artists captured something unique that stood out amongst the rest. One hit wonders with a streak of melodic genius & production. A few of my fave one hit wonders from the 70's, 'Magnet and Steel' by Walter Egan, 'Baby Come Back' by Player, 'My Angel Baby' by Toby Beau, , and 'Sad Eyes by Robert John.

An appreciation for some of those old 70's a.m. radio K-tel soft rock hits. Lots of great music in the 70's ... but this style was a breed all its own. Top Quality Pop Pablum.

    DAISY

She calls me in the middle of the night
Just to tell me everything's alright
    But she's lonely

I tell her not to worry - There's no hurry
    "Just take your time"
    But she knows me

And I didn't even try to tell her
'cause I knew if I tried - She'd only ask why

All her life had been a world of sad goodbyes
With nothing to show - And no-one to hold

Daisy - Nothings as bad as it seems
Daisy - You know you can do anything
When your feeling like crying - Your only healing the pain
Daisy - Sweet loves gonna fill your life

I know I could of made things right
I could of told her how I felt inside
    But I waited

I couldn't find the strength to say
The love is just a word a way
    I hesitated

And I didn't even try to tell her
'cause I knew if I tried - She'd only ask why

Time had pushed our love aside and made us friends
    And friendship can't die - I won't even try

Daisy - Nothings as bad as it seems
Daisy - You know you can do anything
When your feeling like crying - Your only healing the pain
Daisy - Sweet loves gonna fill your life

Daisy - Nothings as bad as it seems
Daisy - You know you can do anything
When your feeling like crying - Your only healing the pain
Daisy - Sweet loves gonna fill your life
It's gonna fill your live (Daisy)
Daisy - Sweet loves gonna fill your life
