Tim Luecke, aka Troublemaka, started spinning reggae/dancehall in Cologne, Germany around 1999. While a student at the University of Chicago, he greatly benefited from the company of several techno and drum and bass DJs, such as Ken and Karl Meier, Rob Casselmann, Zach Kahn, and Izaac Krabbenhoff. In addition, he played a bi-monthly show with the Most High Soundsystem in Chicago's Cafe Lura (Thanks Reggie!) . Since then, Tim has played a number of party's in Columbus, Ohio, and is increasingly focusing on drum and bass. Though it will always be a sub-culture, drum and bass, in his view, is currently one of the most exciting and innovative styles of electronic music and provides a good balance to the contemporary wave of dubstep (nothing wrong with dubstep, don't get me wrong). "This is Trouble" is the first mix released on soundcloud.com and more mixes will follow soon.
