Brand new to the Trouble & Bass Bookings agency, the Dunkin Donut coffee fanatic, and veteran member of Party Like Us, B. Rich (aka Barrett Richards) joins the ranks of the T&B heavy bass champions with his single “Ain’t Even Mad”. Barrett recently migrated from the steel capital of the east; Pittsburgh to the rolling fog cultural mecca of the west; San Francisco, and has put together another great addition to our release series. Like most of the Trouble & Bass family, B. Rich grew up freaking out at all ages raves, as well as enjoying the more urban sounds of hip hop and R&B dance music. Barrett was influenced early in his life by such artists as Altern-8, The Prodigy, Timbaland and Moby all thrown together which makes it pretty clear why he’s produced a such an epic ballad like “Ain’t Even Mad”.

“Ain’t Even Mad” is just the right mixing together of Barrett’s influences from his youth that together are provoking, emotional and at the same time matured, dancey, and ready for the floor. Utilizing his love for R&B vocals, Barrett takes Avant’s “Separated” and chops it up, pitches it down and flips it upside down. “Ain’t Even Mad” delivers the sorrowful love story that if “I never see you again, I won’t be mad at all” while adding the nail in the coffin, “I’m so through with you”. Even though this song brings so much emotion, it’s still has all the ingredients for a perfect song for the dance; high hand claps, shakers, syncopated pans, break beats and heavy bass lines. Trouble and Bass!
