In 1993, John Jacobus picked up a guitar and learned Pantera riffs.
From 1997-2001 he learned MIDI sequencing taking a Music Technology class for an hour a day in high school (two and three hours in junior and senior years, respectively)
From 1998-present, he has produced music under the name tricil.
From 2004-2007, he was one half of the Atlanta electronic duo The Secret Life, sharing stages with acts as diverse as Genghis Tron and Mindless Self Indulgence.
In 2007, John was the live keyboardist for the German Industrial band Haujobb.
From 2006-2009, John was an active member of Nerd Parade, an Atlanta rock band. He was instrumental in the recordings of both of their albums and their subsequent tours, touring as their guitarist/electronician.
Currently, Johnny heads up Esoteric Drift and is the Ableton Live tech for Goodie Mob.
