Translation Recordings is a drum&bass label currently based out of Washington, D.C. that showcases the genre’s diverse array of styles from oldskool and jungle, to liquid and atmospheric rollers, to heavyweight club bangers, and the increasingly popular minimal sound. Translation works closely with a small core of international artists to deliver music with true depth and scope, pushing a vibe that can be appreciated by avid club-goers and the home listeners alike. Through a unique focus on bridging those audiences and promoting timeless music, Translation has earned support from some of the scene’s biggest DJs, and has been featured on BBC 1xtra numerous times by Bailey, Fabio, and Grooverider. Since its first vinyl release in 2005, Translation has always operated on the premise of quality over quantity; and it will continue to keep its ears to the underground for the next generation of progressive musicians willing to push the envelope for an evolution of a diverse array of sound.
