As well as being a prolific composer of instrumental music Tim Posgate is a
multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and bandleader. He has written well over one hundred compositions, many of which appear on the
seven CDs appearing under his name. Posgate also keeps busy performing and recording as a sideman on guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle. His latest CD (on Black Hen Music) is called Banjo Hockey and features New York tuba star Howard Johnson. Over the last twenty years Tim has performed at most of the major Canadian music festivals as well as touring internationally with his banjo and guitars. Currently his main project is the band Sorry Cousins and he lives in downtown Toronto with his wife and two sons.
