Hear all those elements from Derek's original? The stabs are especially effective when sped up to punctuate da rhythm.

I also like how the album art style matches! Did you track down that typeface?

Listening to this track non-linearly frames it in a fresh context, as my comments above indicate.

Imogen Heap is one of the few who can make singing "bum-bum" sound like an otherworldly revelation with sauces and spices.

Singing here reminds me of a mystical shack in the Middle East I've never visited, but maybe if such sonicscapes continue to take me on bold and daring travels of DOING WHAT I WANT... JUST HOW I LIKE... NOBODY HURTS TO KNOWWWW

Subversion of deep DnB/jungle bass to serve the whims of the song. Pitchshifting = ace catapult/trebuchet into the next section.

This synth riffing is usually used in generic trance; it works so much better — and progressively — here.

Swooning strings AND a blippy video game noise? Far out, that's inspiration melting pot! Overall this song has such an amazing arrangement. It's like one of those well-built houses you feel safe in and it's never going to crush your neck or curb stomp you while you're sleeping with your wife and/or husband.

It's like LIFE GETTING SUCKED BACKWARDS AND COLORFUL RECOLLECTIONS INVADING YOUR INNERMOST SPACE... then peace and dancing and joy. I first heard this on Immi's "making of" preview video (not a formal name) so it makes absolute sense!
