TOOLROOM RECORDS: This year, we’re celebrating having been in the industry for ten years with our take over of Ministry of Sound. What have you been up to in 2013?
BELOCCA: I had many many gigs in 2013 and many more to come. I have played festivals in Italy, Mexico, Netherlands and Spain and gigs in many other countries. Also, I had many of my Mainground Music releases chart on Beatport. It’s been a great year so far!
TR: What’s been your highlight of 2013 so far?
B: My Track ”Depends On You” was in the Beatport Top10 for almost 4 months. Well chuffed with that…
Also the festivals I played this summer – always a highlight to perform there.
TR: If you were going to get Toolroom a birthday present, what would you buy?
B: Good question! I’m not really good at birthday presents, but for this special event I could buy a nice vinyl clock from a classic toolroom record :)
TR: You’ve DJed for us at Ministry of Sound before. What do you enjoy most about the club?
B: I love the club because its dark, it has an old factory feeling and an amazing soundsystem. This is the perfect place to play underground music and the perfect place for the Toolroom Ten celebration.
TR: What can we expect from your set on the night?
B: I will play my specific style, which I’d like to call ’Mainground’. This is a mix between Tech-House and Techno, always with a funky twist. No dark underground stuff and no commercial mainstream club tunes either, just the cool bangers :)
Catch Belocca on Friday 4th October at the Toolroom Ten Takeover at Ministry of Sound!
